Shroud of Turin Presentation
Interested in learning about the fascinating history of
scientific studies of the Shroud of Turin, which has experienced a renaissance
of interest in the scientific community? Recent studies have strengthened the
authenticity of the Shroud, and Dr. J. Wayne Phillips, M.D. has created a
compelling presentation that he wants to share with the Archdiocese of
Louisville. Join him on Sunday, October 6, 5:00 p.m. at the Holy
Trinity Clifton Campus, 2117 Payne Street, Louisville. This event, sponsored by
Holy Trinity Parish and the Notre Dame Club of Louisville, is free of charge.
Dr. Phillips is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame
and the University of Miami Medical School. He is an allergist in Clearwater,
Florida and a member of the international Shroud Science Group. He received a
diploma in the Specialization of Shroud Studies from the Vatican Apostolorum
College in 2012. Dr. Phillips was given approval to begin a ministry of
scientific presentations on the Shroud by Bishop Robert Lynch of the Diocese of
St. Petersburg, Florida in 2010, and this permission was renewed in 2017 by
Bishop Lynch’s successor, Bishop Gregory Parkes.
